EPA Lead-Safe Certified


The EPA has ruled that taking affect in October 2010, contractors performing renovation, repair and painting projects that disturb lead-based paint in homes, child care facilities and schools built before 1978 must be certified by the EPA . Then they must integrate specific practices to prevent lead contamination while working on the project.

To quality for certification, the EPA offers an intensive training and testing program to become a Lead-Safe Certified Firm.
